The acute oral LD50 in rats was 9000mg/kg, which stimulated skin and mucosa. Dogs were fed 300 mg/kg industrial food daily for 66 weeks without chronic toxicity symptoms, while rats were fed with 1000 mg/kg industrial food for 2 years. Animal experiments showed teratogenic and mutagenic effects.
